Stuff-a-Bagel in West Islip

Stale bagel and skimpy egg sandwich. Usually go to bagel store near train station which is always good. Wanted to try this place big mistake. Star is for the coffee it was decent.

I enjoy the bagels. The muffins are dry and disappointing. Beyond that, I’ve stopped going here because the owner is a horrible person. One morning I see him walking around inside the shop smoking a cigar. Another morning he’s berating one of his staff members, saying “you should be beaten like a dog”. The list goes on. I’m done.

Oh my God this place is so terrible every time I come here I say why am I here. The staff is nasty the owner is nasty and the food is lousy. It's amazing how he makes money.

Great bagels, friendly service, fair prices, and excellent sandwiches. Bakery goods are also off the chart delicious.

Okay don’t like doing this but this place is disgusting, I ordered an everything bagel with peanut butter. The clerk is a nice older lady who seemed a little off. I’m watching her make my bagel and as I look I see her lick the peanut butter off the glove and continue to make my bagel..... I was in disbelief, and that’s not all!!! it looks like they still have the first batch of pastries they ever made in the display case, and cmon a coat of paint wouldn’t hurt, the walls are dirty. I told them to keep the bagel. I walked out very disappointed.

Just ordered 2 bagels with lox and was disgusted and disappointed. The lox didn’t smell or taste fresh and were also half frozen on our bagels. The bagels themselves were hard so I’m assuming they weren’t fresh. I paid $16 for 2 bagels.

came to eat as I was standing on line, the Health Dept showed up, as I waited to be served, come to find out that they were being cited for all kinds of filthy reasons, hence didn`t stay left as fast as I could. Do yourself and your HEALTH a favor, DO NOT EAT HERE.

The experience is different every time. They suggest different meals every visit and I make a point to stop every time I'm in the area. I love Stuff-A-Bagel

When we first moved to town we went to every bagel place in the area. The taste of the bagels here far exceeded the rest. The owner is a jerk (rude to customers and employees) and there's plenty of staff turnover but many there are nice. Losing Billy hurts, but the quality of the product remains high.

If i could leave this place 0.0 stars i would! Not only are they the RUDEST staff ever but they are so unorganized. I called at 1:30 to say what time does your grill shut off for a BEC, the man says 2pm (miguel) i come in the door at 1:35 and never greeted and finally the women asks what i need i say a bec she says no our grills off. I said no i just called the man said 2, she says no our phone never rang, i proceed to my calls list and show her the 1 minute phone call and they all just are stuttering as if no one just spoke to me. This is about the 3rd time this has happened, they are rude, lazy, unorganized, and i truly dont know why they are still open. Will make sure i tell everyone NOT to come here. Horrible customer service

Look at picture, bugs on pastries and bagels. Employee actually swiped at bug with Bagel. Bagel was dropped on floor by accident by employee when refilling bin, he put it aside and another employee put it back in bin. I have been coming here for 20 years, no more. Place is dirty and owner doesn't care.

Great bagels and egg sanwiches. The coffee is good and the service is quick. Good selection of muffins also. Parking lot is a bit small. Great pkace overall.

Will never go in this store again, the older man behind the counter embarrassed me for using a debit card to buy my breakfast instead of using cash. Never again.

Good bagels. Good prices. Decent coffee. I didn't always get what I ordered, so I started writing it down on paper and handing it to the counter staff.Always check your order when you get it. Other than that, they are quick and easy to see from 25.+

I order a toasted plain bagel with tuna salad. The bagel was not toasted, it was cold. I do not like cold bread. It's the small, simple things. Disappointed.

Quite possibly the rudest staff I have ever encountered in a food establishment. They act like they are doing you a favor taking your order and making your food. Nasty attitudes from the guys behind the counter. I seriously think they would be happier with zero customers. And forget about phoning in an order. They get it wrong all the time.

Bagels are big and soft,rainbow bagel is kids favorite,also the soup has a great taste.

I only got a bacon ham and egg sandwich and a small coffee and somehow was right under 9 dollars... I could have gotten a hungry man sandwich, which is double the size anywhere in the country and a coffee for the same price. Their card machine wasn’t working to which one guy there said “you better take out your second wallet” instead of “hey sorry our card machine isn’t working there is an atm here sorry for the inconvenience”. Okay fine I get it you have terrible human skills. Fine. I’m just hungry. Get me out of here. I open up my sandwich, to find the skimpiest sandwich I’ve ever had!! For 9 dollars I got one piece of ham one egg white and one and a half pieces of bacon. Thanks guys!

Order taker seemed like he was on drugs. Bagel didn't seem fresh. Only ordered two items had to repeat order more the 6 times

Best bagel spot in the area. Don't let others one-off reviews scare you away from this place. Been coming here for years and have tried bagels from a lot of other shops in the surrounding area and these are the top. Bigger than average bagels and perfectly chewy.

Always have good bagels and service,OK, go to my favorite bagel shop, something going on, little to no butter on bagel, didn't put in bag, had to ask, then had to ask for napkins, there are many bagel shops around, hmmm

I always liked this bagel shop great breakfast sandwiches and other things to eat.

The bagels are ok. I really hate giving a place 2 stars and it's for this reason only. The only thing that really bothers me about this place is that they have signs all over the place that you must purchase over 10$ if you want to use your credit card. It forces you to purchase more thank you need. I was thinking of reporting the store to the credit card companies, because they can be fined up to $50,000 from each card company. In other words its illegal to put up these signs. But they still do it. So I prefer not going to this place if I can help it. I rather take a longer ride to Bay Shore and get my bagels there. Which are way better.. But it again it's up to you to make that decision.

Horrible service. We ordered some cold cut sandwiches from them and they informed us the cutting machine had already been cleaned and weren’t willing to make what we ordered. First and last time I will be going there.

Went in there, waited a long time to get my order even. Ordered a ham and cheese melt. Got a sandwich with a skimpy single piece of cheese and few pieces of ham. Total waste of time and money.

Overall bad experience, worst of all these are their everything bagels!

Place doesn't accept orders over the phone on weekends!!! What a disgrace.

When I showed the guy who made my sandwich that the swiss cheese was not melted, (as requested when ordering) he gave me an argument and an attitude. He shouldn't worry though, I'll never bother him again. Too bad there is no option for zero stars.

Worst egg sandwich I ever had. It was put together half assed the cheese wasn't melted the bacon was barley there. I am always disappointed every time I get something here. The egg sandwiches don't even come with the standard tea or coffee. On another occasion this guy wanted butter on the side to put on his bagel and they wanted to charge him $2.00 for it, unbelievable! they also use dirty gloves to make your bagel it's the same gloves that they just used at the cash register. Avoid this place.

This place used to be the best in town. What happened??? Everything bagel was bland and tasteless (how is that even possible), the ham/egg sandwich had a single, over cooked piece of ham. We got 4 things, not one of us finished. Disappointed

My favorite bagel shop on Long Island.Sometimes it get a bit crowded and it may be a bit slow, but it's so worth it. Love love love their bagels. Their soups are also very good.

Get bagels here for the family every weekend. Even when it'scrowded there is never a long wait. Bagels are fresh. Coffee is fresh. Staff is friendly. Highly recommend!

NO. Don't bother going here. The drinks in the fridge were expired and everything was dirty. I had a bagel and it was colder than ice. I don't plan on coming here again.

Very unorganized and the worked seem confused. Sandwich was good, but the bagel was hard. They don't take call ahead orders.
